A LEGACY BUILT AROUND THE LAKE.

Susan has been involved with White Rock Lake Park and with the Park and Recreation Department for many years. She has been on The White Rock Lake Foundation Board for over 25 years and held several positions on the board including president for 6 years.

Currently Susan is the Chair of the White Rock Lake Task Force, an organization formed by the Honorable Gary Griffith when he was the representative for District 9 on the Dallas Park Board. She is one of the original members of the Task Force and continues to support this organization and its efforts benefitting White Rock Lake Park. She has been on numerous boards and committees in Dallas and the North Texas Community.

Susan has been on numerous boards and committees in Dallas and the North Texas area. She is a member of the White Rock Lake Partnership, on the Leadership Committee for Visit Dallas, the VP of Membership for the Dallas Theater Center Guild, the Advisory Board for the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and on the Marketing, Culture and Growth and Business Owners Committees for CREW Dallas.
Susan has held Senior Management positions in marketing and communications in a wide range of industries for over thirty years. She is the Principal of Involved! LLC. Involved! LLC combines Marketing and Communications with Community Engagement, Community Involvement and Social Responsibility to the benefit of both the company and the community.

Ted is a native of Dallas born and raised in Oak Cliff and migrating to East Dallas when he was 12 years old. A graduate of Skyline High Schools 3rd graduating class in 1975 and attending the Horticulture Cluster while there gave him a love for nature and a passion for the Environment. After attending the University of Texas at Austin, he was hired by the Environmental Protection Agency and worked in the construction grants water division which was and still is guided by the1972 Clean Water Act which regulates all surface water pollutants and discharges into U.S. lakes and streams. Believe it or not this was signed into law by President Richard Nixon! After leaving the EPA he obtained his real estate license in 1980 and is still licensed and actively selling real estate 46 years later! His work on the Whtie Rock Lake Foundation started in 1997 and he still actively serves as the projects chair for all projects completed and funded by the foundation. He was president for 10 of those 26 years, and then chaired the White Rock Lake Task Force for an additional two years. The White Rock Lake Foundation has raised, funded and completed millions of dollars in projects in collaboration with the Parks and Recreation Department, the Dallas City Council, the White Rock Lake Task Force, the Parks and Wildlife Department, the City of Dallas water department and many others. These collaborations create a solid working partnership that guides most of the White Rock Lake Master plan which has recently been modified to further streamline projects and the rules and regulations that govern the lake and its many intricacies. The foundation was instrumental in the dredging project last completed in the late 90’s via a bond program championed by them and again this most recent cycle which was approved for an additional 20 million to dredge the lake in the next two years or once bond sales have been completed. He lives with his partner Joey of 22 years just two blocks from the lake. His lifetime commitment and passion for the environment is personal and heartfelt and he remains committed to this cause for the foreseeable future.

Kathleen grew up in Texas and then relocated to Nevada where she earned a degree from UNLV in business with a concentration in finance. She has over thirty years-experience in a wide range of management positions in the hospitality, gaming, and real estate industries. After returning to Texas, she settled near White Rock Lake and began spending time there. Being very passionate about protecting the fragile nature of the environment made her want to actively participate in the foundation to help preserve the lake for families and visitors to enjoy. She is a commercial appraiser and real estate broker and tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
